Free Yahoo! Credits
To help our readers out, we've listed some Yahoo! Search Marketing Coupons below at the end of this blog post. Some are common codes you might find on other blogs or in forums, some are more rare. In any event, the codes are worth $100 in free Yahoo! credits towards your PPC advertising costs and the minimum requirement is $30 deposit.
Why would I need more than one coupon code when I can just use the same one? I heard from someone else that for you to legally open multiple Yahoo! Search Marketing account without getting banned, you should be using a different coupon or promo code each time. I do know of several people who just use the same promo code and that works well for them, but if you want to play it safe, use a different promo code if you're going to open multiple accounts. I would also be very careful about opening too many accounts. While I understand everyone loves having free money, you can get banned for opening accounts just for this reason. With that said, tread cautiously at your own risk. I would highly recommend opening no more than 2 or 3 accounts to start with.
Goal Setting
It is absolutely important to set goals for yourself. Rather than create one giant goal to accomplish, it is often better to accomplish mini goals along the way towards your main goal. In affiliate marketing, most people do it for money. Theres really is no other reason. With money comes other benefits such as free time, financial freedom, etc... But at the end of the day, the main emphasis is still on the money. The end goal in this case is really to make as much money as possible, however, if you want to set a more realistic goal, you can aim to make enough to live comfortably. This amount will vary from people to people as some can live comfortably off $1,000 a month while others need $6,000 a month. So figure out how much your target goal is, then set mini goals along the way.
When I first started, I set my goal at $1 per day (profit, I don't care about gross). As you can imagine, this wasn't a very difficult goal to achieve (once you get started). Then I moved my goal to $10 per day. Next $100 per day, etc. You get the general idea. If you want, you can set the same goals I did. These goals start off small and make it easy to achieve. While making $1 per day isn't much, it proves that you can make money and is crucial in helping you taking that first step. It's proof that this is possible. The rest will follow. As you increase your mini goals to reach your target goal, it will get harder and harder. I think of it as playing a video game. First level is always easy. The further you progress in the game, the harder the difficulty level gets. Each level is like a mini goal and beating the game is like meeting your main goal. With each step, it helps you realize that this really works and will only keep you encouraged to continue unless you're like me and you have tons of joy doing this as a hobby.
The above goals are all profit. I don't calculate gross because gross means nothing to me. If you spend $1 million and make $1 million, all you did was waste a bunch of time. Sure you learn a lot but if you don't improve on that, it won't make any difference. The goal is to increase your profit, ROI, and volume. So my goal is $1 profit per day, then $10 profit per day, and so on. Essentially I just keep adding a 0 at the end of each and every mini goal. As the numbers get bigger, the goal becomes harder to achieve but it is very exciting and satisfying each time you pass a mini goal up because you've accomplish something (making more money). Always set realistic goals you can achieve along the way but set your aim to unrealistic goals way out there at the top. Never limit yourself by being too realistic.
